Pineapple

Just an info to share.

Somebody called Minxy have written this in fertilityfriends forum.

Having researched on the net & in many books, the "jury" is undecided on whether pineapple can help aid implantation...personally I believe it is the fresh pineapple that should be avoided - not canned or juice.

Fresh pineapple contains the enzyme bromelain (only small amount) which is believed to induce labour, although there is no scientific proof of this (you'd have to eat alot of fresh pineapples for this to happen I think !!!)
However, during the process of juicing/canning etc the enzyme is destroyed so "processed" pineapple should be fine (although everything in moderation !)
Pineapple also contains selenium which is one of the things that helps build up a healthy endometrium - which is what you want for implantation & to sustain a pregnancy. I've not stopped drinking pineapple juice!

And for those ttc (especially those on Clomid)....try drinking grapefruit juice as it can improve & increase the "sperm friendly" cervical mucus.

here's another from this blog : dearreilly.blogspot

I mentioned the pineapple reccommendation on my last blog entry and have piqued a few interests, so I thought I would provide a wee bit more information and clarification. Here's what they gave me at the needle-pushing place. Using Pineapple to Assist Implantation: Pineapple contains bromelain. Bromelain is a proteolytic enzyme that breaks up proteins that inhibit embryo implantation. Consuming a whole pineapple (focusing on the core as it has the highest concentration of Bromelain) during a fertility cycle can be beneficial.

For IVF cycle: consume equal amounts over five days, beginning on the day of your embryo transfer.

IUI cycle: consume equal amounts over five days, beginning on the day of your IUI.

Timed intercourse cycle: consume equal amounts over five days, beginning on the day after ovulation.

Note: Be careful not to start consuming pineapple too early in the cycle. Beginning to consume pineapple BEFORE the reccommended days above can actually affect your vaginal and cervical mucus PH, making it more acidic.

A huge giant, enormous congratulations to SARA S-P on her Pineapple pregnancy.

The End.

there's such a "Pineapple" pregnancy! so Nenas is good!

maybe not if u are ALREADY pregnant kan. aku lak dok avoid nenas selame dah setahon lebih. ia adalah bagus kisahnya. nak nak lagi lepas ovulation. sbb mase tu mmg belom lekat lagi pon. mase tu egg baru nak fertilize n is travelling down the uterus. so dgn bantuan nenas ini boleh meng'friendly'kan uterus lining dgn egg itu.
