Interesting - LH and hCG

Astu ada info psl OPK. since aku heran aku dpt positive OPK smlm, aku bace la sket. rupenye, org yg pregnant pon akan dpt positive OPK, sebab LH dan hCG ni molecule2 nya lebih kurang.

"OPK's detect LH (luteinizing hormone) which is the hormone associated with ovulation. Pregnancy tests detect hCG, the hormone associated with pregnancy. LH and hCG are, at a molecular level, nearly identical. hCG has a beta subunit, meaning it has an extra little "doodad." To use a stupid but easy to understand example, LH and hCG are identical twins, except that hCG wears a funny hat."



Cute kan! So aku paham skang ni kenape nak trigger ovulation, kite diberi HCG trigger. mule2 aku mmg takpaham lansong,mcm mana hormon pregnancy boleh boost ovulation pulak?? rupenye, hCG and LH are aLMOST the same. (tapi nape takde LH trigger? Gynecology is such a mystery)

so hCG makes the body ovulate. and its the same hormon as pregnancy too. so sbb tu kalau baru kena hcg trigger, kena tunggu betol2 period due baru leh buat pregnancy test sbb takot dpt false positive.

jadi kalau pregnant, OPK can detect since the hormon lebih kurang, tapi kalau guna HPT, it only detects 'the hat' so kalau the 'hat' is not present, kita dapat negative. Utk lebih lanjut pegi terus page tu.

SO, i do have enough LH yesterday, and yes, rugi kalau tak 'baby-dance' haha! im lucky he's in a good mood yesterday. eh sorry to much info ;P
